At Golden Mags our puppies are Needy, High maintenance, Clingy, Spoilt and have a lot of attitude! This is because our puppies live inside and take over our home and our lives (we let them gladly) they are constantly cuddled, sung to and talked to, the puppies are spoilt with every different types of toy imaginable to keep them entertained. Our puppies absolutely love to play outside in the grass, they sleep inside and run in and out whenever they please all day long. Our puppies eat us out of house and home and have healthy appetites. Our puppies know nothing but love from the moment they are born and we take finding them perfect forever homes very seriously.

Once

the puppies are born they are watched 24/7 weighed daily, kissed and cuddled constantly. When the puppies are a few days old we start neurological stimulation which has observed benefits of stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands more tolerance to stress and greater resistance to disease.
Once ENS is over we start puppy massage once a day. The benefits are reduced stress, improve circulation, improve blood flow and we get to spend quality time with the puppies.

Noises

we introduce the puppies to all different types of noises since the day they were born. We play different youtube clips of heavy rain, light thunder then we move on to loud storms, fireworks and traffic noises. By getting them used to these noises while they are young the puppies are not so afraid of them as they grow older.

Puppy Gym

We are always searching for fun ways for our puppies to develop, as well as experience early stimulation and cognitive development. Between 3-17 weeks, it is an important development period. So our puppy gym has quickly become a favourite, particularly for helping the puppies become more confident. The puppy gym is a wonderful way to introduce the puppies to the sights, sounds, touch and motion they will experience during their lives.

The great outdoors

Once our puppies have taken over indoors, they are introduced to the great wide open on sunny days they enjoy playing (on occasion digging) in the grass, chasing butterfly’s and lizards expressing there vocal chords to higher levels and therefor taking over the outdoors as well!

Introducing Harnesses

We recommend a collar with id, name tags and etc on at all times although we recommend that when out or for a walk to wear a harness.
A harness gives extra security knowing that it is near impossible for them to slip out of it, also if they are a little excited you don't have to worry about tugging on their necks.
Our puppies love trying new things and the first time wearing a harness they have so much fun.

The puppies are an enormous part of our lives bringing us joy, laughter and lots of love, We have too much fun with them and we are not sure what to do with ourselves after they leave.

Though it does make it easier knowing that we find our puppies wonderful homes to be part of. We could not part with them unless we were sure that they were going to have great lives that are full of happiness.

We love staying in contact with our new owners and seeing and hearing what our puppies are up to and we are more then happy to answer any questions our new owners may have thought the years.

Socialisation

Socialisation is very important for puppies. There is a ‘critical socialisation period’ from when the puppies are approximately 3 to 17 weeks of age. All the things that the puppies are introduced to can help shape and influence the adult Goldens that they will become. Providing plenty of socialisation and exposure to different environments/animals help our puppies grow into a well-adjusted adult that relates well to other dogs, other animals and people.

Our Puppies are introduced to our cats, our goats (Clarence and Sebastian), our chickens, our lambs, our ponies and of course our other Goldens.
